I've always believed that every person carries a story capable of changing someone else's life.
Not because they became famous. Not because they built an extraordinary career. But because they loved deeply, endured heartbreak, found hope, failed bravely, or simply kept going when life asked more of them than they thought they could give.
Those are the stories that move me.
Born in India and shaped by experiences across cultures, I've spent my professional life as a scientist and biotechnology executive, helping bring innovative healthcare technologies closer to the people who need them most. Science has taught me to ask questions. Life has taught me to listen, and —
LISTENING IS WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS.
LISTENING IS WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS.
✦The most meaningful conversations rarely begin with accomplishments. They begin with truth: with the moments that humbled us, transformed us, and quietly became the turning points of our lives.
This podcast is my invitation to those conversations.
Here, you'll meet people from every corner of life: innovators and artists, entrepreneurs and educators, parents and dreamers, community leaders and quiet heroes. Some are well known. Many are not. What they all share is the courage to tell their stories with honesty and heart.
My hope is that every episode leaves you feeling a little more connected: to yourself, to others, and to the possibility that your own story matters more than you realize.
Because I believe that wisdom isn't reserved for a select few. It lives in ordinary people living extraordinary lives.
So come as you are. Listen with an open heart. And perhaps, somewhere in someone else's story, you'll discover a little more of your own.

The Show
Girl and Brilliant
EXTRAORDINARY STORIES
OF ORDINARY GIRLS.

What if brilliance isn't always the woman with the biggest title, the loudest voice, or the most impressive résumé?
What if it's the woman who rebuilt her life after heartbreak? The mother who quietly held a family together. The immigrant who began again in a new country. The scientist who refused to be told no. The entrepreneur who risked everything. The homemaker who found herself after years of putting everyone else first. The women who survived reinvented herself and discovered that her greatest chapter was still ahead.
Girl and Brilliant is a podcast about those women.
Hosted by Mahrukh Banday, PhD, a scientist, biotech executive, and lifelong believer in the extraordinary potential of women, Girl and Brilliant brings you intimate conversations with women. Their lives reveal something bigger about courage, ambition, identity, resilience, reinvention, and possibility.
These are not stories about perfect lives. They are stories about real lives: the choices, failures, breakthroughs, heartbreaks, unexpected turns, and moments of courage that shape who we become.
Because sometimes the most extraordinary women are the ones whose brilliance the world almost overlooked.
What will you discover?
Every conversation is an invitation to learn, not just about someone else's life, but about your own.
What resilience looks like, not as a cliché, but as the everyday choice to keep moving forward.
How extraordinary women make decisions about careers, relationships, motherhood, ambition, identity, and the moments when there is no obvious answer.
What success costs and what it can make possible, including the sacrifices, lessons, failures, and unexpected rewards behind the stories we usually only see from the outside.
How women reinvent themselves at 25, 40, 60, 80, and every age in between.
The power of ordinary choices and how seemingly small decisions can change the trajectory of an entire life.
Lessons in leadership, confidence, purpose, and ambition from women who have built meaningful lives in remarkably different ways.
And perhaps most importantly, you'll learn that there is no single blueprint for becoming a brilliant woman.
There is no
single blueprint
for becoming
a brilliant woman.
Sometimes brilliance looks like building a company. Sometimes it looks like raising a family. Sometimes it looks like leaving. Sometimes it looks like staying. Sometimes it looks like starting over at an age when everyone tells you that you're too late. And sometimes, brilliance is simply discovering who you are when you stop living according to everyone else's expectations.

This is a podcast about
Possibility
Girl and Brilliant is for the woman who is becoming, rebuilding, questioning, dreaming, starting over, or simply wondering: What else might my life become?
Come for the stories. Stay for the lessons. And leave believing a little more deeply in what is possible for your life, your work, and the woman you are still becoming.
